Smart Expense Keeping (SEK) – is a light weight Web Application built with the Laravel Web Framework and latest Boostrap 4 with plenty of features.
Smart Expense Keeping is a perfect web application which allow multi company feature. This app is best to manage your budget and your actual expenses and their comparision. You can define your budget for different departments (Home, Office, Travelling, etc.) and budget Periods (can be weekly, monthly or quarterly).
Smart Expense Keeping (SEK) - allows you to add different users like Admin and User to manage your activities.
In this documentation we cover only the parts that can be used repeatedly in App. You'll explore more parts after using it.
Buttons and other elements are not documented how they can be styled, instead they are all presented and included in the demonstration.
To get you started with Smart Expense Keeping Web App, you should be familiar with Bootstrap 4 which is widely used and most-preferred HTML framework from developers worldwide.
Firstly, Download Smart Expense Keeping app and place it into your server's root directory. E.g; if you have XAMPP then place it into htdocs directory or if you have WAMP then place it into www directory. After that, open the app in your browser (Chorom, Firefox, Safari, etc) by giving the right path of your placed app like "http://localhost/sek"
The INSTALLATION window will appear like below.
Create a database with any name to your server and it'll automatically import the database into your created database through installer. You should have to provide the credentials to complete the installation process. Credentials means, your host name(E.g; localhost), host username(E.g; root), host password(E.g; password), and database name(E.g; smart-expense-keeping). After installation, you'll automatically redirected to the Login page of the app. You can use our demo Email ID and Password to get in: Email: demo@demo.com , Password: 123
Dashboard and Landing page, user will land to this page after login. Also When user select any specific company, he will land to this page on which he can see listing of expenses related to particular company. He can approve, deny, close and overdue expense by clicking on status labels.He can see the budget vs expense chart and expenses comparison piechart
User can add budget by selecting time period and department from provided listing:
After creating budget user can view all created budgets listing:
In this user can add expense for any budget whose department and time period is defined in Budget section:
After addition user view the list of expenses created under all companies which being managed by current.
Here expenses can filtered out in many ways (e.g. time period, current status and departments.).
Also user can change status of multiple expenses at a time and can edit the request while its in pending status:
You can see all the expenses Period and Deparment wise, plus you have filter to see report for specific department or period.
You can print and search record and table will be updated instantly. You can easily print data , export data to CSV, PDf, Excel as well.
